| One of the darkest days in IndyCar history occured... During the 2011 IZOD IndyCar World Championship at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, a horrific 15 car crash broke out on Lap 11, and IndyCar lost one of the best drivers it had ever had. A man who had the courage of a lion, and a heart of gold. That man... was Daniel Clive Wheldon. R.I.P. Dan Wheldon. You will never be forgotten.  | |

| I was not watching the race on that fateful day last year. When the wreck happened, I was browsing the AARO forums. I remember a series of people, namely Casey, started notifying the forums of that massive crash, as well as their hopes that everyone was okay. Unfortunately, I came across this topic minutes later.R.I.P. Dan Wheldon. Never forgotten in the hearts of racers and fans alike. | |
