| Knee's hard luck now continuing
Greg Knee, who was in the top 10 in points, has DNF'd the last 2 races, resulting in his freefall from an amazing season

| - Spoiler:
Here's how I would dictate (and/or give general thoughts about) possible penalties for some of the wrecks that occured out there. NOTE: These are my opinion. I'm not demanding them to be in effect.
First wreck: Lusk pinched McRae way the hell down the track; nothing Lautenger could really do. I'd say a minor penalty for him since that seemed a bit avoidable.
Second wreck: Bad situation, but I'd pin that on Kirkton for pushing up. I'd say Short is okay, Johnson might be injured after taking a hard shot from both the wall and Kirkton. No penalties required.
Third wreck: Smith got into the 13 and then went back into Knee. No penalty required.
Durbin flip: Tough situation for all involved, but the 94 came down and turned the 6, starting all of that. Durbin probably will have to sit a few races and watch his title hopes plummet. I would say 94 to the rear for the next race.
Fourth wreck: Manieren pushed up ever so slightly and set it off, but got instant karma with a trip into the SAFER barier and probably some injuries to keep him out of commission for a while. No penalties required.
Fifth wreck: ...I have no words.
Sixth wreck: Clyde Latinger ignores the warning of "cooling it down" and decides to go three wide for the lead and hook the 65 into the inside wall. I would recommend a good doctor for Ashton and a one-race suspension for the entire #51 team with a fine to Latinger possibly added to it.
Maybe Walter Green and Toni Short can maybe try their hand at being professional ballerinas if their stock car careers don't pan out (Since Short is banned from AERS, I'd advise that he try it).

| Durbin to Miss Ottawa, Possibly Toledo or More After Massive Accident
After violently barrel rolling down the front stretch of the Homestead-Miami Speedway, Ike Durbin, who entered the race third in points, will now have to forfeit a possible championship run due to the scary crash. Durbin started seventh and quickly proved that he had one of the fastest cars in the field, running top five until a caution for Greg Knee spinning flew. Racing back to the line, Durbin was forced into a four-wide situation, which ended with him being hooked and sent flying down the track, in a spectacular and terrifying set of barrel rolls.
Durbin would need assistance getting out of his car after track officials reported he was conscious but just barely. When out of the car, he appeared dizzy and was holding his right wrist as if something was wrong with it. He would be taken to the track medical center, then to a local hospital afterwards for further evaluation, where it was confirmed Durbin had suffered a concussion and a broken wrist. Though he would have been unlikely to sit out a race due to the wrist, he has already been confirmed to sit out Ottawa due to his concussion.
"It's going to end up being a week-by-week situation," Durbin's Agent Derek Brookswine stated in an interview, "He'll go back to doctors for a check-up next week, where he will be evaluated in order to be cleared or barred from competition at Toledo. But no, he will not be in the 45 Java Monster Chevrolet at Ottawa."

| Legge Motorsports Suffers Immensely in Miami
LMS has been a major powerhouse team all season with two cars in the top 5 in point standing for most of the season. All of which were changed today after separate accidents crippled the the 15 of points leader Emma Trout, destroyed the 45, and therefore severely injuring its driver Ike Durbin. Durbin, who will be out of the car until further notice, thankfully managed to escape with only a concussion and broken wrist. His teammates had this to say --
Sarah Woods, Driver of The #18 Monster Energy Chevrolet -- "I was genuinely scared... In not anything I've ever wanted to see nor want to see again... I'm just happy Ike is ok... Well not ok but I'm happy he's not more seriously injured."
Emma Trout, Driver of The #15 Godaddy.com/Sirius XM Chevrolet -- "I can't tell you how much I'd rather have him ragging on me right now about my crash... It's just a scary scene when something like this happens. I don't know what to say... We've had a bit of a friendly rivalry in the points lately, the whole my horse is better then your horse stuff like that and well... My horse tripped out of the gate and the #94 turned Ike's into glue."
Both drivers in fairly high spirits considering the circumstances. Will Legge, owner of the team and driver of the #15 Godaddy.com Buick in the AERS had this to say about the situation
"I'm not happy. I'm [Expletive] furious as a matter of fact! The 94 has no regard for the safety of others out there! If you want to crash fine! Get a rental car, go to a supermarket parking lot, and slam into a street lamp for all I care! Just leave my team out of it! I don't care about points, I don't care about repair costs, I care about my drivers safety an well being! That's my final word because if I go any further I'm gonna get finned by the AARO."
One unhappy team owner and friend... Will Legge will take over the helm of the #45 machine while still driving in the AERS untill Durbin is cleared to reenter competition.
