NNRCS is Back for 2011, with Drastic Changes

Anybody that has heard of Lisa48 has probably heard the rumor that she died.

Last March, she returned to NNR, claiming that the rumors were false. She said that she'd left to focus on her Master's degree, and afterwards, she married and had two children. She also mentioned that her MySpace had been hacked. The hacker had posted a false message on it, which the NNR community had fallen for. Ever since, she's become a regular user.

Anyways, less than a week ago, she came up with the idea for a carset for the website, to run with the Cup11s mod, which had gained many entries. I suggested to her that I use the carset for the NNRCS this season. She approved.

Rather than waiting for the new site to go up, I'm going to make some drastic changes to the league so that we can start quicker. First the new format will be eliminated entirely. As opposed to time trials to determine ratings, we will do exibit races with the AI instead. The scheduled full-coverage races will now be recapped, as any other race. Other than that, no other changes.

Users that have already registered their cars for the carset will be allowed to pull out at will. When we get things settled out and we get enough entries, we'll kick off with the NNRacing.com Shootout at Daytona, depending on whether or not the selected contenders return for this season. We'll see you then.
