No, it pretty much says, that you can't be down there while leading for more than 2 laps...so there's more racing at the front.

((OOC: This is because the drivers on the backstretch ALWAYS moved to the high side, lol.))

I still think that rule ought to be abolished though...doesn't really make sense.

Ringer; Gerrelds Needs To Be Suspended

AERS PRESS RELEASE -- Jonathon Ringer, driver of the #43 Armor-All Lincoln was taken out with 4 laps to go at Daytona, pushing him all the way back to the 30th spot instead of a nice 6th or maybe even higher finish. Kenny Gerrelds was in the 14, 7 laps down and in the way the whole race. He was the one who caused that late race wreck.

"He's [Gerrelds] been here for a long time and I respect him for his great success over the years, but when you do that on the racetrack all of it goes away," Ringer said. "I swear I saw that Cheetos logo on his back bumper 15 times over the course of the two long green flag runs. When you're that slow, pull off the track instead of pissing off thirty other drivers who all have a chance at taking one of the most prestigious races of the year. In my opinion, that was the worst finish and the worst driving display EVER in the Daytona race. He must be suspended, because I'm already tired of it".

Fred Jones, in the #86 Dish Network Chevrolet had a similar showing last season, he, like Gerrelds, had a key role in the finish. Only he, was holding up Gerrelds. Jones' penalty was a fine and a disallowed qualifying time for the next race, and he came home with a 2nd place finish. With the new qualifying race format for race #2 and 3, Gerrelds has to make his way into the Salem race, if he has a chance at doing that.

Gerrelds' penalty was announced that he too, would get a fine, along with his spotter and crew chief, however, no disallowed qualifying time will be placed.

"What was I supposed to do?, I'm out there for the fun, seeing as we were 41st, I didn't mean to do that but I'll learn from my actions and, so will you".


SIDENOTE:

This was the first time in 10 years less than 3 cars were retired from the race, there was 1 in this one.

Just this race? I'm pretty sure more than 3 retired at McKinley last year

BTW, Crosby, I noticed you left everything except the numberplate black on Tellez's driverbox. I made separate layers for the driver/team name background specifically so you could color them in, ya know...
