Come on guys, that's hilarious. I know it's a 9/11 joke but its been 11 years. We can laugh at one joke.

In regards to Matt's post about alter egos, the only one I really have is Shaun Percy, who I merely created for a browser football game way back when. Then he became my UFC alter-ego and now I even use him as my Twitter name and I've considered changing my name legally to that name(probably won't, though).

My alter ego is myself aged twenty years in the present. It's sad really because I'm fourteen.

I didn't want to say this is my initial post for the sake of not starting something, but if the internet is like a second world to us, than all the fandoms are akin to nations. So in a way, Equestria is real through the internet.

And for the sake of not starting shit, I'm not going to say anything about all these 9/11 jokes as much as I'd like to.

Well, the reason I tell 9/11 jokes is that we as a country dwell over 9/11. It's a bad thing of course. I think 9/11 was horrible. I know someone who was supposed to be there but was an hour late. The thing is, we cheered then over 800,000 innocent people in Japan were killed from the Hiroshima bombing for WWII. It shows how selfish this country is.

I knew that was going to come up.

Like I said, I feel for the victims of other such attacks like the Hiroshima bombing, and all the lives lost in such events. But as wrong as it is for somebody to joke about 9/11, that doesn't necessarily make it right to go and laugh at something that wasn't our problem. I'd never forget all the lives lost everyday due to disease and conflict.

If you're going to joke about a national disaster, like I said, you really don't know what it's like to lose someone you love in such a case. That may not be the case for me, but would you joke about such a disaster if someone you knew was affected by it? If you really had feelings for them, you wouldn't joke about such circumstances.

Again, my Dad almost got a job at the World Trade Centers months before the attack, and he turned it down. That won't stop me from taking it as seriously as any national disaster world wide.

I'd never joke about something that took the lives of over 2,000 innocent people, no matter if I was affected or not, it's still insanely sad even now when you think of their families and such.

I feel the same way. Its a major tragedy and it should have happen. I just came across these jokes and as bad as they are, I thought they were a bit funny. I have already accepted the fact that I might go to hell for it. Now, I'm not here to upset anyone because I do know how cruel these jokes are and I know I'm a cruel person. If anyone is upset with me about it.

Don't think anyone is really upset about it, but you do have to be careful aboot that. I guess its no big deal if you crack jokes about it, its just not my type of thing.
