Jacob Eichholtz had this to say: "It's not fun when your cars fail every week. Michael really needs to step it up, or he might be sent down to our AYG team. Even though he's scheduled to drive the #35 next year, nothing's a given. And for my dad, he showed he can get it done in 2007, so why can't he now? Next year will be a lot better, with Chevy, sponsors for every car, and technical support from JCR and RMR. So we'll just have to wait until Daytona and hope all three cars make the show and get a good finish. It's safe to say Eichholtz Motorsports is already looking toward 2011."

Even though his dad left early, Jacob stayed for the whole race observing and preparing for his possible debut at McKinley.

nobody could find the driver of the 8 car after the race, it is 100% unknown at this point

NLRS has released a statement that at this point, they have the money to stay under current ownership thru at least the 2010 season.
