Yesterday, nearly one half of the AERS drivers arrived at the Daytona Superspeedway. Today, the rest came, except for Harrison Filter, driver of the #41 Target Dodge. The rumor has it that he was at the Talladega Superspeedway Testing. The AERL does not allow more than 3 tests during the offseason. This was his 4th. If he is guilty, he will get a 250k fine and a 2 race suspension. Commentator Jeff Klinger said " He shouldve got enough testing, they were at the Shootout, but didnt make it. Then they went back home, in my opinion, the AERL shouldve had the first race a week after the shootout. Then, none of this would be happening." In the first of 9 Practices, #29 Ross Lowrey posted the fastest time so far. There is still 29:42 remaining as this is posted. #3 Landon Rody, #42 Herb Cilantro and #35 Frank Hackson, all rookies, posted laps in the top 10. The only bad part about this session so far, is that in the first minuite, the guy with the nickname "Wrecker", Tyler Deefer in the #46 Marlboro Ford blew a tire in turn 4 and spun through the tri oval. More on this topic soon.
