Dobson Out As #84 Driver, Cantrell In

Kyle Dobson, owner of the two-car Yung Guns team Kyle Dobson Motorsports, revealed today that he would step out of the #84 Super Parts Auto Supply Pontiac as driver, while remaining with KDM as car owner.

"I just felt like it was hard to focus doing two things at once," said Dobson. "I started the team, and I figured I should keep helping to ensure its success from an ownership standpoint more than anything. This is really the best way to go, just focusing on running the team."

Upcoming rookie Cagen Cantrell will take the seat of the #84 for the remainder of the year.

In other news, Super Parts Auto Supply and Pyramid Freight are rumored to be terminating their sponsorship of KDM's two cars in 2010. Dobson has stated, however, that finding replacements will not be a problem.

The owner points will be carried over, but the driver points are going to start new. So just go to the Opponent Manager and re-number the 84 car to...084 or something.
