Ask any fan around the track any week and they'll tell you Tyler Deefer is a previous winner. Contrary to popular belief, the veteran has not visited Victory Lane. That all changed at Livonia when Deefer won the 2015 Livonia 250, a race he could not have dreamed him winning, yet alone being his 1st. "It's pretty cool. Growing up, this race was the race you just could not miss. I'm ecstatic I'm here in the winners circle right now. These guys worked too damn hard for this, it's been a long time coming." Deefer has had several opportunities to win races in the past, most recently at the Pensacola Road Course in 2014 before he spun out in turn 1. "It feels like its been coming for a long time. I'm glad we're off to this start, I think we'll be championship contenders this year."
After a scary wreck in the qualifying race, Ike Durbin suffered a broken foot after being in immense pain and being taken to a hospital. Although risk and concern of a concussion was high after his AAPT wreck last season, Durbin escaped without one, amazingly.
Despite his broken foot, Durbin should be able to continue without missing a weekend.
(OOC: Tim and I discussed the Q-race wreck for an extended time and came to the conclusion that Durbin would probably be able to race despite injury.)
A scary Livonia weekend has raised concern with the AARO after almost all drivers' medical conditions were reported today. 4 drivers, Ike Durbin, Mikael Carter, Jared Kash and Sebastian Morris all sustained some form of injury. Some worse than others. We're still waiting on reports to Jeff Parshall, Jack Jefferson, Herb Cilantro, and Will Legge.
Ike Durbin, under high risk of concussion, "walked" away from his wreck with a broken foot, however should not miss any time. The rookie was involved in the scary qualifying race wreck on lap 29.
Mikael Carter has sustained a mild concussion from his crash on lap 16 with teammate Justin Pisani. Carter told press he could not do an interview after the race due to head pain, and was later diagnosed with the concussion. He is questionable to return next week at Boston. The team told press that Preston Bell has been contacted as an emergency replacement if needed.
Jared Kash was involved in the lap 72 wreck where he pounded the outside wall after a Keith Davis spin. Kash was the first car to retire from the race in the 42nd position and has sustained a sprained right ankle from the second impact. Kash is expected to return to Boston.
Finally there is Sebastian Morris in the #5 car who, like Durbin, was involved in the qualifying race accident. Morris is expected to be out of the car for the entire length of the season with a broken left shoulder, a spine injury, and a concussion. Sebastian Morris is in his first season back full time in the AERS since 2009, and the former AAPT champion will have to wait it out another year to get another shot. The replacement for the Scawles #5 car is unknown at this point.

Casey Lester: Could've been better, could've been worse. The car just fell off as the race went on and I wasn't too happy with how it changed. Made the corners a nightmare to get through as the run went on. I hope everyone's OK, but I'm happy that my teammate got his first W. He's had it coming for a while now and it's great to see Tyler get some daylight for once.

See I knew this was a good idea. The cars here are fast, unlike my team. Hopefully we'll be able to win soon, but this was a good start.
(OOC whoever painted my car should send me the psd, that damn thing is beautiful. Thanks a bunch, I've been hella busy)
(I lost the psd only have a flat)
(Yes Nick I'll put my drivers' post race up too)

Spoiler:
Crompton, Smith both run into separate issues; disappointed with finishes
The entire C-S Motorsports ran up front early and often in the 2015 Livonia 250. However, only Nick Black was able to salvage a Top 10, finishing 8th. Nate Smith was running 6th and charging hard on the inside line with 5 to go when he had to pit, as he had ran out of fuel;
"I'm honestly not quite sure what happened. These cars Volkswagen rolled out for us and the other teams that switched over to them for this season have gotten great fuel mileage. Maybe we didn't quite get the tank filled. I don't know. Truly we had a great car. A winning car. All 4 of us did. Obviously we have the speed the season, maybe that's the positive I can take from this weekend."
Carson Crompton, as per usual, was a lot more direct with his opinion
"Once again we get f*cked at Livonia. Last year we did to ourselves and now some newby comes in thinking running without his top gear is gonna gain him anything. I'm honestly pissed as anything. SGR screwed Nate out his championship last year and it looks like they're out to kill again this year."
Smith reminded Crompton after the race that shit happens and to move on.
