Greg Knee renaming team, back to Greg Knee Motorsports (GKM for short). Gayla Lemon/Valene Click/HWW Motorsports to move over to AAPT?

Knee, regardless of what happens this season, will return with his team next season, along with same sponsorship, no word on car change.

Comments: "After having a season like this team is, how can you not return? Everything is still being confirmed, but if you don't see the 100 car next season, it will be a very sad season."

HWW Motorsports, along with Lemon and Click looking to move up?

"We are doing so well right now, that we are considering moving up after only a season in the ALNT, but not sure yet." - Gayla Lemon, on what might happen in 2015.

Bell unsure of 2015 plans, demotion to AAPT or ALNT?

With the abysmal season that Preston Bell has had, it is no secret that his ride at the JN Motorsports team is in serious danger. Bell himself believes that it is moreso his errors than the team's that have kept Bell's amount of starts so low.

"Ah think it's tahme to slow down an' really decide what's best for mah career in the long run. Ah could've waited another year 'til I went to AERS, but the team wanted me in the car, so ah simply did what they felt was best for the team. Clearly, ah ain't got much to show what ah done so far an' it's mah fault. These gahs have given me a great car week in and week out and it seems like ah'm not capable of gettin' it into the show. Maybe there's somethin' ah'm missin' at this level that ah can find if ah go back down to the lower ranks. These gahs could use a Short or a Morris, someone who's got the experience to compete in this series."

The Texan has run a few AAPT races in relief for Tyler Smith, but hasn't had stellar results in the two starts he's made. If Bell does indeed seek a drive in one of these lower tiers next season, the time that he's subbing for Smith may be beneficial for him.

GSR to add All Pro Team for 2015

Steven Cortez and Alex Underwood, two ALNT drivers, will step up to the Aflac All Pro Tour in 2015 with Greg Sauer Racing. The move was only a matter of time to happen, as GSR had been expanding its development program over the last couple of years after seemingly to ignore any aspect of developing within their team over the years. The two cars will be sponsored by Five Guys and ToyotaCare and will be numbered 24 and 27. The 17 year-old Underwood, in his first year in the ALNT, sits 19th in the current standings with 3 top 10's and 4 DNF's. The 20 year-old Cortez, driving the 24 in what is considered the team's "junk" equipment, sits 21st in championship standings, just above 100 points back of his teammate in one less race. He has 2 top 10's and has led 4 laps on the season in his Toyota.

Legge Motorsports to merge with Ovota Motorsports 


Will Legge will be merging his AAPT team with his parent team Ovota Motorsports to become Legge Ovota Racing due to lack of available drivers starting next year. Ovotas current line up includes Cindy Sylvester in the #15 and possibly Jordan Tipsun in the #18. Sarah Woods will move to the new #26 Buick with longtime LMS and OMS sponsor Godaddy.com. Godaddy.com is the only confirmed sponsor for the team as of right now. The team chart is as follows

The youngest Anderson, Aaron looks to become the youngest driver in the series, will turn 18 in May 2015


#83 - Rian Anderson - Skittles/Starburst

Riley Anderson sold all his racing equipment, and apparently, his children, to Smith Motorsports after it was announced there would be no truck series for the AARO in 2014.  Anderson has never had as much of an opportunity s his younger brother.

Clint has never expressed interest in a high-profile league, but definitely has shown that he has what it takes, at least on short tracks.  If Clint declines the offer, Cris may step in


#8 - Joey Johnson - Coke Zero

After nearly winning 3 times in the 2012 AERS season, the 28 year old looks to rebound in 2015.





This only leaves Tim Averell to confirm drivers fir his 57 and 75 teams.

Averell Motorsports is reportedly interested in a few former part time or full time AERS drivers, including Clyde Latinger and Kent Grosso. Also heard Averell is trying to woo over one of the McRaes.

Thanks to MacTools, Kaspar Bristow may finally have a drive lined up for 2015, as the tool company has agreed to re-align with Takken, Inc. and bring Bristow up along with teammate Luke Lanigan to the AAPT. Takken, Inc. has reportedly filed for number 41 for Bristow, the number he drove in the ALNT.

Averell Motorsports announces 2015 AAPT lineup
Having retooled R&R Racing Technolgies under his own name, Tim Averell confirmed last month that his team would appear in the AAPT but kept tight lipped about who the drivers may be. In a scheduled press conference this morning, Averell confirmed the following lineup for 2015:

57 - Earl McRae -- Stanley Tools Volkswagen Passat
75 - Clyde Latinger -- Target Volkswagen Passat

Earl McRae found himself in a precarious position when Hardee's said it would only sponsor one of the Scawles Racing Team cars, but before any sort of controversy could erupt as to who would get this sponsorship, Tim Averell approached McRae, who has come into his own over the past year as a contender, with what was confirmed to be a three year deal for the #57 Stanley Tools machine.

Clyde Latinger had worked himself up to AERS from the lower tiers, but found himself struggling to make races. Looking for a rejuvenation of his career, Latinger accepted offer for two years in a ride in the AAPT fully sponsored by Target.

Jimmy Barley, Darrien Maneren will replace Morris, Carter for AAPT 2015 season

Sebastian Morris was involved in a scary Q-race wreck at Livonia, which will keep him out of racing for probably the whole 2015 season and Jason Carter's racing career could likely be over after several severe injuries in race 1 of the ALNT season. In their AAPT places will be former teammates Jimmy Barley and Darrien Maneren. Barley will drive the 46 in place of Carter, and Maneren will pilot the 1 in place of Morris.
