damn, he was one of the BEST directors in American history for sure, but to hear of this? This is beyond tragic, he made MULTIPLE classics, Days of Thunder, Top Gun, the list goes on, I hate to hear that that list has been ended, and that chapter of movie history closed along with it, because in the end of it all, no mater how much you spend in CGI, screen play, or getting that A-list actor, it's the plot that makes a classic that survives the ages.
