AARO Member Tournament Final Four
With the Final Four's first round underway, it's anyone's game to win. 4 users still remain, the 1st seed Nick399, who forfeit won 2 of the 3 matchups he's been in so far, Jrod, the 10th seed who also forfeit won 2 of 3, but also knocked out the 2nd seed and potential threat NavyCook to qualify for the Final Four, Chives, who survived a first round no show and rebounded to knock off Casey Lester and RandomClassic, 2 heavy favorites in Region 3, to qualify for the Final Four, and Rykia, who has been the biggest surprise of the tournament, at the 22nd seed. Rykia muscled through the tourney with no forfeit wins, the only one of the users involved in the Final Four to do so.
Region 1/3 Matchup: 1. Nick399 vs. 12. Chives
As stated before, Nick399 forfeit won 2 of his 3 matchups. In the Elite 8, he survived a strong vbooy57, beating him in the last pick.
Chives survived a scare when on vacation, getting lucky to be on last between him and ThePudgeBomber to forfeit win his first round matchup. In the Sweet 16, Chives knocked off Region 3's 2nd seed Casey Lester in a high scoring 8-7 affair. Lester, heavily favored in the match, was upset and Chives continued on. In the Elite 8, Chives crushed Region 3's top seed and favorite RandomClassic with a 7-2 victory in RandomClassic's own league picks. Chives recorded 17 overall points, tied with Jrod for the most in the Final Four barely edging out Rykia.
This matchup looks to be all Chives, however Nick399 may pull off something big as the picks in Round 1 are his own series. Prediction: Chives wins the series 2-1. Winning Round 2 and 3 after Nick takes the early advantage.
Region 2/4 Matchup: 10. Jrod vs. 22. Rykia
Jrod, the tournament's 10th seed panicked early as he was saved by a GWoodard41 forfeit. Jrod only recorded 1 point in the match and all Greg had to do was get a pick correct. Luckily for Jrod, he cruised on to and past the Sweet 16 as he wiped albox96 out of the tourney with a 7-0 forfeit win. Jrod then faced possibly the favorite to win the entire tournament in the 2nd seed in NavyCook75. Jrod took Dan to the cleaners with an impressive 9-3 win. Jrod was 1 point away from scoring a perfect 10/10 in the WRA picks for the Elite 8.
Rykia came into the tournament late and was tested early as he faced the 11th seeded kensethfan as the 22 seed. Rykia took kensethfan down in a 5-1 victory. Rykia advanced to the Sweet 16 to face Region 4's 2nd seed Vinny, who Rykia edged out in a 5-4 victory, showing that he was for real in this tournament. Rykia pulled off his 3rd straight upset by defeating Moppenheimer 6-5 in the Elite 8. Rykia scored 5 points in each of the 3 matches but needed a best of 7 coin flip in the Round 3 overtime (4-3) to win the match 6-5.
The big story of this matchup will be if Rykia can continue his Cinderella story by defeating Jrod. He will be facing his toughest opponent yet and could cause problems for the 22nd seed. Prediction: Jrod wins series 2-1, winning Round 1 and 3.

Both users swept their Final Four opponents to advance to the Best of 7 final. Jrod outscored Rykia 11/7 and found a little luck after scoring 3 points when Rykia put up 0 points in Game 2 of the Final Four 2/4 matchup. Rykia was expected to bounce back but he picked no answers correct so the zero point performance ended any hope of continuing on, and the Cinderella story was finally knocked off.
