Coke Zero 400 Predictions/Discussion

What I think is going to go down:

- Hendrick cars all qualify in the top 10. Most of the rest are Fords.

- The Big One only collects about 10 cars. If that many.

- Trevor Bayne gets a top-15 if he stays out of trouble.

- AJ Allmendinger challenges for the win.

and I'm going to record parts of the race, hell, might be better than TNT coverage....

Boring race. 2 car tangos ruin the race, however a good finish will happen and everyone will say "OMFGGEEEE WHAT A RAECC!".

imo 2CT are stoopid.

Bayne finishes his normal top 30.

2 car tangos

2 big wrecks within 40 to go

- Trevor Bayne and DE Jr. will be contenders.

- 15-car Big One.

- Tony Stewart may win again.

my prediction:

A start and park wins the race (kidding)

Jr finally wins the race.

Trevor Bayne once again fails

oh and 800th post!!!!!

Prediction: I WIN!

Real prediction: Race is won by a ford. Don't be surprised if that ford is David Gilliland. He finished 3rd in the 500 and 9th at Talladega plus he's always been a good plate racer.

I've done some thinking about who's going to win it, and I came up with this...

1- Jr
2- Dave Blaney (he had Talladega won until he got spun)
3- Gilliland
4- Stewart
5- Jeff Gordon

Seriously, you guys are way to high on Trevor Bayne. Give him 2-3 years and he'll be a consistant contender.

He won at Daytona, yes, but he hasn't done ANYTHING since. Don't expect him to shine until like 2014.

If he wins, then I will eat ****, and film it.

Personally, I like the two car tango. I don't exactly have a reason, I guess I just like watching cars spread out all over the track then in tight positions.

I don't think Bayne is half bad, and that has nothing to do with Daytona. He's been running solidly in the top 20 or 30 on the shorter tracks he's run at, there's no reason for something to stop him from doing well and maybe winning another race.

Last year's race was one of the better races I've seen. I guess it was because we didn't have morons and moving hazards becoming a problem every 25 to 50 laps, mainly due to the big-a** wreck we had in Turn 3. I liked seeing other guys like Jeff Gordon and Matt Kenseth go at it, as opposed to guys that we've seen win already plenty a time, and usually dominate on a regular basis.

If this were bristol, I'd agree, but he drove better than anyone all day at Daytona in February, I dont see why he can't do it again...I dont mean win (but its possible) but a top 10 isnt out of the question considering how fast the fords are.


Btw this reminded my of the convo last year where you said Ambrose was terrible.

I'm feeling Paul Menard, Dave Blaney, and David Gilliland will be big contenders. Tony Stewart will be up there for the win and I'm feeling he will win again if Paul Menard doesn't. Trevor Bayne will get a top 20, Jimmie Johnson will be involved in the big one.

I'd say don't count ANYONE (besides the Start and Parkers ) out of the race, all they need is a good draft partner.

Allmendinger or Menard get their first win. That'd be awesome.
