The AARO Advance Auto Parts Modified Tour made their only road course event of the season for round 6, at Elkhart Lake Road America.
The AAA Pole Award went to Treyson McBeel driving the #9 Fortner Development Pontiac. He would start next to John Jefferson in the #73 Chevrolet.
McBeel got a huge jump on the start, and even though he was on the outside in turn one, McBeel would clear Jefferson through turns one and two.
Jefferon would battle Noah Krongoz Jr, as well as Gerald Fontaine in the #81. However, on Lap 2, Krongoz would get off course in the exit of turn 10, also known as the carousel, and slams the tire barrier. Krongoz was tipped onto his roof, and began to tumble back across the racetrack when he was hit by Jimmy Phillips. He was okay. Phillips kept on going, albeit off the pace.
Meanwhile, McBeel continued to pull away, and on Lap 10, John Jefferson, running second, did the same thing as Krongoz, except Jefferson stayed on the ground.
Gerald Fontaine also got off course, this time in Turn 5, the fastest part of the racetrack. He also slammed into the tires, causing him to tip on his side, but he settled back on his wheels.
That left Emma Dalton in second.
On the last lap, coming through the carousel, McBeel got off course, but since he had an insurmountable lead over Dalton, he was able to hold off Dalton by 16 seconds.
It was McBeel's first career Modified Tour Victory.
It was an extremely boring race, but McBeel was ecstatic nonetheless.
ResultsPointsAgain, FRAPS failed, otherwise you would be able to see Krongoz's huge crash.
