@atomlinson: Grant Jacobs’ name being brought up in discussions with Sauer Enterprises, huge contract to take on, so I’d expect the asking price wouldn’t be too much.

@atomlinson: Frankie Stewart has been traded from Chautier Motorsports to Keith Davis Motorsports in exchange for prospect Tyler Hart. Stewart requested a trade late January.

@JeffKlinger: Welcome back to Livonia Raceway! Teams and drivers are checking in at the main driver entrance right in front of me as we speak. It’s cold and rainy here in Livonia, but the temp should be rising all week, rain expected to be present for a lot of it.

@DerekAnistAARO: Rain has stopped AERS practice about three quarters of the way through. Supposed to be a constant rain until late tonight, no word on cancellations yet. Lapinski, Lachner, Cohon your top 3 fastest in early practice. A few guys didn’t even make it out on the track including Parker, Ashton Short and Seth McGuire.

@JeffKlinger: Notes: Garth's only qualifiers are their two vets, Lachner and Lapinski, 82 and 89 both DNQ. Alex Jates, dominant at times last season, also failed to qualify and also declined to speak with any media. Poor guy.

@ElectricWolf87: I'd be hesitant as a fan to criticize Alex Jates or that entire team on missing the race. Yes, they're a top team. They don't always have the best of weekends. Already seeing fans crapping all over him for this when every team in this garage has a competitive car that could run very well on Sunday. Give the man a break. He's earned a spot in this series.

@JeffKlinger: APTS qualifying rained out, ANS trying to get going but it’s looking more unlikely by the second. Jet dryers aren’t done yet, it’s still sprinkling, and this place doesn’t have lights. It’s legitimately a miracle AERS got their qualifying in yesterday.

@atomlinson: Forecast says rain until 10am tomorrow, I know I’m sick of just waiting here.

@NathanSmith83Official : Hearing Lachner's comments on Dwyer troubles me. Of course, this team was trash and then good all of the sudden. It does and has happened, especially with the funding they've gotten from Ally. If you and your guys saw something, say something. Why did you wait until after the race and after he ran well? If he had crashed and finished 40th would you have made those comments? Cheating is cheating no matter the outcome. Maybe I'll take a look at their stuff at #Boston to see if it's on the up and up but I doubt the League would allow cheating as blatant as you painted it.

@RSweeney: @NathanSmith83Official, He's only thinking its suspicious, because of how quick they got there, you can't go from mid-pack to contender just by a sponsorship deal. They must have done something over the break. Im not calling any shots around here.

@NathanSmith83Official: @RSweeney ACS (under its various name changes and ownership groups) went from missing 2/3 of the season's races to almost winning a championship in 1 season.  While also expanding cars each season.  We went from nothing to contenders overnight because of a lucrative deal, some hard work, and some luck.  It does happen.  I just think we should always assume the best of our competitors.  What we do is dangerous especially if emotions cloud judgment.

@ScawlesRacingTeam: Us here at the Scawles Racing Team would never use, misuse, or take advantage of unfair equipment to gain a competitive edge on the racing field. We respect all competitors and do everything we can under the current limitations and rules to put out winning race cars. The comments received from other drivers we are considering as compliments, and we are humbled that we are being mentioned among the names of some of the top teams.

We do not associate ourselves with anything but respect and would never treat anyone in such a way that they feel is harmful. Kody Lachner's comments were out of frustration and we apologize for any accusations he made. Lachner, along with any other member of our race team, will not be available for comment this Boston weekend. We have no further comment until the AARO finishes its investigation. Thank you.
