AARO Press:
JN Motorsports Turnaround
JN Motorsports has been a team notorious for underachieving and having terrible luck. However in 2015 their luck has turned around. After team owner and driver Justin Pisani stated in the offseason that they were going "all in" for the next two seasons in order to pursue a championship, the team has all 4 cars in the top-11 in points 6 races in. At Willow Point, the drivers at JN performed pretty well, the only thing being Justin Pisani's accident on the 6th lap which would take him out of the race. Jimmy Cohon led a good portion of the race, Mikael Carter stayed around 6th all race long, and Shawn Glossum ran in the top-5 for most of the race, only to be taken out on a last lap crash and finish 22nd, finding himself 1 point out of the top points position.
"We had a great car. Probably a winning car if I wasn't behind the wheel" exclaimed Glossum, "We've been running strong all year and I have to believe we will continue this for the rest of the season." When asked about JN's success this year, he said, "I can't pinpoint anything different, seeing as I am new here, but what I do know is that these guys work hard day in and day out to prepare us as best as they can for these races and I'm very fortunate to be here and contending like we are. Unfortunately today, we'll bring home a mangled mess, but I can't say enough, we'll be back next week with the next car these guys prepared and we'll move on."
Jimmy Cohon finished 2nd in the Willow Point Dash, "We ran very well all race and it's encouraging to see the results start to pay off in the standings. I'm a worrisome man, and I actually don't feel worried at all that we're gonna fall off or anything, I think we'll go the distance here running well like we are."
Meanwhile, Renesse Racing had an up and down day concerning their drivers. Tommy Ritcher was the best of the 4, finishing in the 3rd position and running well all race. "Fun race, fun track. It's always good to have some good weeks with the up and down season we've had." Casey Lester started 5th but finished in the back after contact in the wall with teammate Tyler Deefer, who was spun late running 3rd. "Gotta apologize to my teammate there, I moved up and ran him off a lil' bit but I'm even more disappointed with Mike Oppenheimer. Flat out dumped me in the esses, then goes on to win the race. It's stupid s+&% like that that makes me have no hope for this series going forward, that people can just run you over like that, it's f*&%$^# ridiculous and I hope the league does something about it because if not, I will." Kody Lachner had a very sloppy race and declined to comment.

Spoiler:
Lester hampered by early damage, relegated to Top 30 finish
The driver who seemed so rejuvenated following qualifying, convinced that his day would end up so much better than the previous year, was quickly put back in a somber mood after extensive damage suffered from hitting the wall due to a driver miscalculation on the first lap of the Willow Point Dash sent Casey Lester into the pit lane, costing him valuable positions. He anonymously struggled to find speed for the remainder of the day and finished in 26th.
"I'm pissed at myself right now." Lester said, stating the obvious. "This team behind me deserves so much for all of the undying effort that they put into this car all weekend, only to have the man theyneed to have piloting it to a good finish blow it away on lap f***ing one. It's a truly wonderful feeling." The dripping sarcasm told the tale as there was a brief silence. "Well, there's not really much else to say but a gigantic 'sorry' to my fans and teammates. I hope to never let you down like that again." He walked away from the reporters visibly upset and distraught as he opened the door to his hauler, flew through the doorway and closed it behind him in disgust.
Lester has not had anywhere near the performance he had last season, only sitting 13th in the points standings heading into the McKinley 200 in contrast to 3rd place entering last season's running. While this is not the worst that the young driver could perform, it is apparent that he feels that he is capable of better and has haphazardly not provided the team behind him with the results they deserve. Will this loss of confidence carry over to the crown jewel of the AARO AMP Energy Racing Series season? Hopefully for Lester's, and everyone else at Renesse Racing's sake, it will change to positivity very quickly.
