I'm still learning Minecraft. The majority of what I plan to build is statues of characters from eight and sixteen bit games. As soon as I learn how to do that; I need to learn how I get TNT, and those colored blocks.
Right now the most of what I've built is a cave, but it doesn't reach very far.

I watched a video where this guy was playing for the first time and he saw the skeleton or something and he kept calling it a yeti and he got immediately killed...

TNT is made in a crafting table, 5 gunpower (From creepers) and 4 sand (found in beaches and desert biomes). Put the Sand on each corner and fill the rest in with gunpower.

Best way to take 'em out in my book is with arrows, but with a sword as soon as you attack one you gotta pull your a** back in a hurry or they blow up in your face.

1.9's pre-release is. If you haven't got it yet, don't. Yes, don't. A lot of work is needed, and I get 3 FPS on tiny fog distance. I usually get a solid 30 on normal. http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Upcoming_features
