Well that's a first. I'd hasten to imagine Mark Martin, and Bill Elliott are next in the retirement line. Not for this season, but when they choose to retire.

My mistake, he hasn't officially, but he was quoted as saying, "I'll think about it over the winter" and "Will I miss it? Yeah, in some ways. But in some ways I'll be kinda glad it's over. The sport has changed. It's not much fun anymore."

He has the right Idea. It doesn't look fun when racing. Plus Crummie Johnson is winning the championship every year.

That isn't Jimmie's fault, NASCAR needs to change the chase format or just get rid of the chase altogether. Back on topic though, especially at Marlin's age it won't be fun when you can't really race competitively.

They're the same age I believe but Martin is in better equipment and is a better driver. Marlin has never been the same after that crash.
