Craig Bonnett Wins 2nd Straight Race
Garth Enterprises scored its 4th win of the ANS season, and 2nd straight at Watkins Glen. Bonnett, who is rated as one of Garth's top prospects, was obviously very happy in victory lane.
"It feels great because of how far this team has truly gone," he said, "I couldn't be happier with our situation. It really feels like we're a true contender, I feel like we as a team have a real shot at the title. And believe me we're going for it."
Bonnett scores his second straight win and also moves up into the 7th spot in the standings. He led all 32 laps, amongst several yellows and cautions, but he kept his car 100% clean and faced no real challenges. The only one being Tyler Keller with 3 to go on the final restart.
"We unloaded quick and obviously never skipped a beat. Tyler really gave us a run for our money but ultimately I think we just had it today. Guys were great on the pit stop and did everything they needed to today, couldn't be more thrilled for our guys."
Meanwhile, David Jugar in his first race back in the ANS, finished 11th, being very quiet.
"Yeah I just kind of tried to keep everything clean." Jugar said, "I'm kind of at low morale with getting sent down here, but they told me some things they'd like to see me do and have set some goals for our team, so we'll try to keep things going at the 27 team and I'll personally just try to learn from this experience."
