For the 2015 APTS season, there will be a ratings system in order to create a bit more personality in each driver. If you're not familiar with NR2003 ratings, it is broken in to three categories:
DRIVER:Driver Skill - Aggression
Consistency
Finishing
Qualifying
Track Skill -Road Course
Short Track
Speedway
Superspeedway
TEAM:Aerodynamics
Chassis
Engine
Reliability
PITCREW:Consistency
Speed
Strategy
For this season, we will be utilizing all three categories in three different ways. To start off, here is the driver guideline.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
DRIVER:All drivers will start with a base driver rating of 40-60. However, in each of the driver's subcategories, you may add one of each of the following: +15, +10, 0, and -10. As an example, here's what it could look like.
Aggression +10
Consistency +15
Finishing -10
Qualifying 0
Track Skill -Road Course +10
Short Track +15
Speedway -10
Superspeedway 0
This must be followed for each driver. The only exception is if you want your driver to be underperforming or bad, in which you can set your own ratings, as long as it is worse than 40-60, if that makes sense.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
TEAM:Team ratings will work a little differently. For the team ratings, there will be a few different classes, with the base ratings being based on their involvement in higher tier leagues. They are as follows:
Class A (Any full-time AERS or AAPT team that has a truck team falls under this category):Aerodynamics: 50-70
Chassis: 50-70
Engine: 50-70
Reliability: 0-100
Class B (Any truck team with an affiliation to a full-time AERS or AAPT team falls under this category):Aerodynamics: 40-70
Chassis: 40-70
Engine: 40-70
Reliability: 0-80
Class C (Any truck team that does not fall under the above categories fall under this category):Aerodynamics: 40-65
Chassis: 40-65
Engine: 40-65
Reliability: 0-50
Class Slow (Any truck team that is meant to be an underfunded/slow af team falls under this category):Aerodynamics: Anything under 40-60
Chassis: Anything under 40-60
Engine: Anything under 40-60
Reliability: Anything
In addition to these base ratings, you may add one of each of the following: +15, +5, -5. These are applied towards the Aero, Chassis, and Engine ratings.
The Reliability rating is static and does not change. Example:
Class B:
Aero (40-70): -5
Chassis (40-70): +5
Engine (40-70): +15
Reliability (0-80): Static
------------------------------------------------------------------------
PITCREW:The pitcrew rating will work different from the other two as well, but will also factor in AERS and AAPT affiliations.
Class A teams may apply one 60-100, 60-80, and 40-60.
Class B teams may apply one 50-100, 50-80, and 40-60.
Class C teams may apply one 40-100, 40-80, and 40-60.
Example:
Class B -
Consistency: 50-80
Speed: 40-60
Strategy: 50-100
------------------------------------------------------------------------
I know this may be a bit confusing, so if there are any questions, feel free to ask! I would like ratings ASAP, as a good portion of trucks are finished already. Please PM these to me.
Thanks!
