Lester with an off day, loses points lead to Smith after 26th place finish
Casey Lester did not keep up to championship form under the Bristol, Tennessee lights as he came home with a 26th place fnish. He narrowly missed the second caution involving Mikael Carter and Jalen Scransen and witnessed Ricardo Blanco get unceremoniously dumped by Grant Jacobs on Lap 65, not too pleased about the latter incident.
"I saw very clearly what happened, Jacobs. Don't think you'll get away with something like that without reprimand. That was avoidable and you know it. Just because Ricardo's a lapped car doesn't give you the right to flat out dump him in front of the field in a corner. At least wait until you get to a straightaway so we have an easy path past him. And I heard the Shell cars decided not to use brakes; no surprise there."
Aside from that small tirade, Lester was somewhat quiet about his day as there weren't many positive things to say with his result.
"Well, I don't honestly know what happened. We didn't really have much speed and the car didn't improve with time. Hence, we dropped through the field and got the result we got. Not one of our better days, but we're definitely looking for an improvement in Charlotte."
Juveno angry with Lowrey, throws helmet, starts brawl in garage area
After making contact with Kenny Gerrelds, Barry Juveno's car came down into the 80 of Ross Lowrey, who hooked the Cleveland native and sent him hard into the inside backstretch wall, ending the day for the KDM driver. Juveno, furious with Lowrey and Gerrelds, held up the 80 through Turns 3 and 4 and flipped him off before Lowrey blew past the smoking #52 Taco Bell Dodge. Juveno angrily climbed out of his totaled car and was stopped by his crew before he could go over to Lowrey's pit crew. When the race concluded and Juveno was free of restraint, he ran over towards the parked #80 car, helmet in hand, and threw it at the windshield with Lowrey still inside. Juveno then briefly got to the driver's door of the car and began shouting at the former Renesse Racing driver and threw a punch to the helmet of Lowrey before crews and officials were able to restrain him once again. He shouted several obscenities towards both Lowrey's and Gerrelds' pit crews as he was taken into the AARO hauler for discussion.
"I told dat sonuvab**ch- I say 'You know why you ain't gon' have no f**kin' ride next year? 'Cause you drivin' like a f**kin' dips**t!' Dat's exactly what da f**k I told dat n***a! He ain't cut out fo' dis series an' dat mothaf**ka Gerrelds ain't eitha! Both of dem need ta get da f**k outta here [the series] or I'mma send 'em out on body casts if dey keep f**kin' wit me."
Fines and penalties are expected for Juveno with his reckless behavior, although this is all but expected out of him as he has built a reputation as an enforcer his entire career.

R&R Racing Technologies ends up with both drivers in the top 10 After an odd race that saw Tim Averell involved in an early caution, he managed through a field of carnage to slot 4 spots behind his teammate Nick Dawson, who ran an incredibly clean race. This finish boosts Averell back to 16th in points after a two race slump. This race comes on the heels of the announcement that Averell is taking partial ownership of the team as Nick Dawson is departing for Europe and is being replaced by AAPT ace Ike Durbin.

DiCario "Not Surprised" at Jacobs' Aggresive Driving; More News from Bristol
MacK DiCario has been trying to get himself in contention for the championship all season, running 3rd for the majority of it and running well despite some not-so-good finishes. DiCario has yet to win an AERS race, and he thinks the latest race in the AERS would have been it, had Grant Jacobs not turned Ricardo Blanco on lap 65. "With the way the race panned out and how good our car was, I would bet anything we'd be in victory lane finally." He said, "It's a shame...I like Grant and think he's a hell of a guy but when is enough, enough? He drives like an idiot every single race, running all over the place, dumping innocent drivers and here it finally comes back to bite us in the ass. Decides to run over a lap car and take out several drivers while he goes on to get a top 5. It's freakin' unbelievable." DiCario turned back at his torn up racecar and gave me a look of 'what can ya do', before returning to his hauler.
Jacobs, who ended the race solidly in the top 5, said, he couldn't do anything. "The damn 08 car was just cuttin' down on us. I couldn't do anything. Don't know why everyone's mad at me." He also had words for points contender Casey Lester, who had previously called him out. "Y'know what? When I was a rookie, I was in the top 5 as well and y'know what? If I spoke out and criticized everyone like a spoiled d-bag I'd have had my ass handed to me. With guys like Ritcher and Gerrelds all at their primes, you talk like that and you know you're gettin' your ass dumped next time they come near you. So I'd advise him to shut his damn mouth and continue suckin' Nate Smith's hotdog, that's what he had on the car tonight right?" Jacobs was actually called to the hauler after AARO officials heard his interview over RPM Tv.
Greg Sauer Wins Hardee's 250
"WOW!" was the first word out of the veteran's mouth after he climbed out of his special Five Guys Pontiac in victory lane. Sauer, for the 13th time in his career, was celebrating with the team he helped build, and was all smiles. "I can't explain to you what this does for our team." He said, "All these guys, they work their asses off and don't get as much credit as they should. They deserve more credit for this win then I do, that's for damn sure." Sauer stayed in the top 10 all race, keeping his car clean and in the end, everything fell into his favor. "I know the 83 and 1 were fast all race, when I saw they were taken out, I knew we'd have a good shot at it. Things just kinda played out for us and I'm thankful it did. These guys deserve it!" Ross Lowrey Speaks on Incident with Barry Juveno
"How the f*** is he mad at me? Dumb son of a b**** took himself out and is out over here yelling at me and giving me the finger on the track. Like sorry you don't have talent to keep your car off Kenny's. I was just the victim. Dumbass rookies..."
Alex Jates has choice words for Will Legge after wreck takes him out while leading
So. Many. Battles. Bristol usually gets the tempers going, and it looks like that didn't change for this one. Alex Jates was wrecked by lap cars on lap 206, taking him, and 2nd place Carson Crompton into the wall and took Jates out of contention. "We win that race, and we're back in contention for the championship." Jates said, "But the 15 decided to take out a slower car and ruin the race. I know I'm not the only one upset with him." Seasoned veteran Allen Reeds, who finished 9th and is also known as Jates' mentor, said, "Alex, and anyone else for that matter, needs to realize the 08 was at slow speeds all race. He was the cause of most of those incidents. Not nitpicking Ricardo here, but it wasn't worth taking out a bunch of good racecars to get a couple more points. All these guys are mad at the 15, 40, whatever, they don't see the big picture. That's just the way I see it, dunno what the other guys are thinkin'."
Following Grant Jacobs' remarks countering Lester's criticism of Jacobs' incident with Ricardo Blanco in the Hardee's 250, Lester responded with a short statement to the media on Saturday.
Casey Lester wrote:
The 08 didn't cut down. The replay shows that you dove into the corner and never let off his left rear quarter panel. Sorry that I'm not allowed to express what I feel when I wish to. I didn't intend to come off as a prick; I just didn't appreciate that move since it seemed pretty avoidable.
(OOC: I like this. ) Jacobs' "has had enough" of Lester
"You know what? Fine, okay dude. You weren't even involved in the wreck but just continue to pin the blame on me, I'm done with this matter, I've had enough. I'll settle it on the track if you're down."
