Tyler Smith Suffers Severe Head Injury; Career Threatening
Tyler Smith was turned head on into the wall with Ashton Short in the AAPT @ The Glen this afternoon. Smith was unconscious in his car, Ashton Short was alright and called for help. Smith was hospitalized and was later diagnosed with a severe concussion that will have lasting problems on his brain which will keep him out of a racecar for potentially the rest of his life. Nobody close to the situation could be reached for word. More news on who will replace Smith will roll in in the next couple of days.

Interesting note: Ike Durbin is third in points with a win and has led the least amount of laps of anyone in the field.
