Ike Durbin came into Livonia uncertain about his debut, deciding that just finishing the race would be a success. When he went out and qualified fourth, he re-evaluated his expectations. Durbin challenged for the lead early before making an extra stop under the first caution and hitting the wall in the next run. Durbin rebounded, however, and with help from attrition, wound up an impressive seventh on debut. Durbin said he was thrilled with the run. "This is awesome. I didn't think we would be anywhere near the top ten this weekend. I'm already looking forward to the rest of the season."

All 4 SGR cars finish on lead lap, Jesse edges for victory. PLUS Silver Green Racing had a car on the winners podium, 2 in the top 5, 3 in the top 10, and all 4 finishing in the top 15. Keith Jesse, who was tabbed as a last minute signee, made his AAPT debut in the back, dominated the race, and won at the famed Livonia Speedway."Holy crap, I can't even believe this, I wasn't sure if I would be ever ready for this. I got to thank Roger for giving me this opportunity to be a part of this organization. This team came fresh hoping we could salvage a top 20,but this is sweet"- Keith Jesse. "I wished we could've given this team a 1-2 finish, but a top 5 to start the defense is great." - Brad Kurtis. Also due to the win, the 77 team has enough funding to go for the full season however it has not obtained sponsorship.
