Oh yes, this deserves it's own topic.



Never in my life would I have thought that I would meet Tony Stewart. After putting some though into meeting him about a week ago, I looked up all his appearances. I had no idea he was racing near me but thanks to my friend Rylee, I found out he would be at Fonda. Everyone said he wouldn't sign and if he did, he would be an asshole. When I first met him, he was kind of an asshole. I just walked right up to him and said "Well it looks like anyone can just walk up to you" and he said "yep, thats whats goin on right now." My mom explained how big of a fan I was and that sorta embarrassed me and when we asked for a picture he said no but it is in a nice way. To my mom, he was an asshole. After the race, I went to meet him again and he was really nice this time. I gave him my faded hat and said "Can you sign this for me? I think it needs to be retired." He replied "Retired? You're just breaking it in!" Then I said "I need a new one!" He laughed. Then I asked again for a picture and how that would mean a lot to me. My mom also asked. He said "Well, I wasn't going to do pictures but, I'll just do one." I continued saying how it meant a lot then my Mom couldn't get the camera to work. He said "You're Killing me!" We started laughing then mom finally got the camera to work. This was the best night of my life.

Great to hear, Eric. Maybe we'll get the chance to see him at Watkins.

This is why I want to go to a race at some point in my life, but I don't have any local tracks near me, sadly.

The only NASCAR driver I have met is Carl Long

I met Michael Andretti when I was five or six but only for a brief moment for an autograph and picture. I was able to hang out with Bryan Sellers and Wolf Hënzler at the ALMS race at Mid Ohio last year.
