| PRE-Q RACE 11 cars started the pre-qualifying race, all of which were attempting this Ottawa event alone. 10 cars would transfer to the main qualifying heat. Mexican driver Miguel Felipe Nova started on the pole and led lap 1 by less than a car length as Megan Woods and Byron McClure dive-bombed him into turn 1 and Woods took the lead. Blake Camphausen then stole it for himself one lap later and never looked back until 2 laps to go when Miguel got under the 105 in turn 1. Conversely, Camphausen then pulled a turn 4 crossover move, handing him the lead and the win. Todd Kinsin, driving the same number and paint scheme in which he won the AERS’ last Ottawa race, finished third. Nate Linstrom, owner of NLRS Racing, got as high as second place, but slapped the turn 3 wall from 4th on lap 18, inciting a furious battle for 10th between him, Tommy Ritcher, Nate Pieper, and Megan Woods. Pieper ended up being the odd man out as Linstrom passed him with 2 to go. Results - Spoiler:
1) 105 - Kevin Camphausen 2) 86 - Miguel Felipe Nova 3) 21 - Todd Kinsin 4) 64 - Byron McClure 5) 08 - Ricardo Blanco 6) 22 - Nick Dawson 7) 7 - Tim Averell 8] 2 - Tommy Ritcher 9) 3 - Megan Woods 10) 70 - Nate Linstrom 11) 04 - Nate Pieper
Q-RACE Ricardo Blanco, once again driving the paint scheme designed by his daughter, started first and led the first of 75 circuits. The first caution flew on Lap 7, when Matt Contey made contact off turn 4, pushing down into the #48 of Lorenzi Rossini, who spun into the path of McKinley winner Tim Averell. Byron McClure grabbed the lead on the restart, and Eric Webler took it from him on lap 20. Megan Woods slapped the wall twice on lap 29 and kept going, but went down to 23rd spot from fourth. Joey Johnson took the top spot on lap 40, but Webler took it right back. On lap 41, Camphausen spun off the front bumper of Jerry Richson on the frontstretch, collecting Talofa. Jerry Richson, Wendy Fisher, and Carson Crompton also took light damage. After the 105 came to rest, Brandon Corna piled into the side of him at at least 160 mph, however, Camphausen was able to drive the car to the garage. Tommy Ritcher took the lead on lap 53. Joey Johnson took it back one lap later. On lap 56, Mack DiCario and Louis Tellez got squeezed into the wall and spun. Miguel Felipe Nova got a small piece as well. The race got restarted on lap 62, and that same lap, CJ Long was battling for 6th with Grant Jacobs when the #40 Ford pushed up and spun him around. No one hit him, and to make it even better, based on when the caution came out he remained in 6th on the restart with 7 laps to go! Johnson held onto the lead until…Mack DiCario, IN THE TRANSFER SPOT, got spun by Megan Woods, slapped the frontstretch wall, came back up and got slammed by Brad Simmons. Nate Knowitall, Donnie Edwards Jr. and Eric Webler were also involved, although it’s doubtful any of them would have made it in anyway from where they were. This calamity ended the race, and Johnson took the victory. Goodyear brought a new tire compound to Ottawa for this weekend, and it appeared to have done its job, as there were more lead changes in these two races (and even just the qualifying race) than in the ’09 main event alone. Results - Spoiler:

| - Spoiler:
Miguel Felipe Nova Makes It!
Suarez Performance Racing and Miguel Felipe Nova have made it into the Tim Horton's 200 at Ottawa. Nova, who is scheduled to race in the Logitech National Tour-West in 2012, was more than happy at making it in. Nova started on the pole for the pre-qualifying and had a great run and finished 2nd. But it was far from over there, when Nova had to sweat bullets and try to make the qualifying race. He did, finishing in the last transfer spot. (17th)
"This is awesome! I wasn't planing on even making the race, as seeing how the competitive the series is, but we did it. We not only had to make one race, but sweat out another one and we did it! I can't thank Suarez Performance Racing, Dodge, and Canel's enough for giving me the opportunity of a lifetime! Now it's off to qualifying!"
The Tabasco native is more than ready to take on Ottawa and the West tour next season.

| - Spoiler:
Nate Linstrom made it in his first attempt. Nate missed again because of bad luck, and so did Carson. This ends all hopes for any car being locked in, realisticly. Joey has been running up front in every race (including Q-race) he's been in. However, this time he didnt wreck.
