Whitney Fuller was momentarily knocked out following a gigantic impact with Casey Lester in the race at West Virgina, which doctors later diagnosed as a Grade II Concussion, as well as Whiplash.
"I'm not only having Fuller sit out the next 3 races because of her concussion, but due to her irratic driving before the incident itself." Team owner Tanner Clason said, no replacement has been named for Fuller as of yet.

DiVierdi, Lester's spotter, ambushes Knight's pit crew; Lester suffers several injuries, out for rest of 2011
Jonathan DiVierdi, after seeing his good friend Casey Lester almost die in a savage crash in the Logitech 150 off the front bumper of Allie Knight while battling for the lead, was enraged. He ran right over to the 94's pit stall and punched may of the crew members there. The 49 crew allegedly joined the fight as a massive brawl ensued in the pitlane between the two crews. DiVierdi was shouting "THAT DUMB B*TCH KILLED CASEY!!!" as he was in the fight. Officials separated the crews after about 10 minutes or so. Lester fortunately lived through the wreck. He reportedly has a broken right arm, both broken ankles and a few minor head injuries. Doctors say that the impact with Whitney Fuller nearly broke his neck, which may have killed him. He was unconsious as soon as Fuller pegged the right rear of the anhilated #49 Ford of Lester. The injuries will certainly keep him out of a race car until at least late November. This means, almost certainly, he is out for the rest of 2011. (AARO is going by real dates, right?) The only comments Lester had on the situation were "What the hell was she thinking?". Penalties are expected for DiVierdi's actions as well as a hefty fine. ------------------------------------------------------------------------
Juveno ambushes Grosso, says Grosso "turned him into wreck"
Barry Juveno appeared to pile into the 2nd caution in the catastrophic race at West Virginia, but Juveno himself said otherwise.
"Dat f**kin' idiot Grosso turned me into da f**kin' crash! I got no f**kin' idea what da hell he was thinkin'! No wonda why he ain't got no f**kin' AERS ride yet! He's a f**kin' retard!"
Juveno reportedly attacked Grosso once he caught sight of him, punched him multiple times and was dragged away by his crew. Penalties and fines are expected for Juveno. Needless to say, this weekend has been a wild one.

Allie Knight offers rebutle, entire team defends her position
After the Pit road brawl between the entire 49 and 94 team, Allie Knight was finally available for an interview, saying the follwing:
Knight: Im so happy for Joey, I expect to see him up front for many races to come.
reporter: Whats your position in the Lester crash
Knight: Look, I was racing for the lead. Lester had my number. This went on for a handful of laps, and I wnted no part of that 32 car. I went low to avoid running over the 32, and got into Lester. A racing deal. Plain and simple. Its unfortunate that he's out fot the year, and its just chance that my teammate ended up winning. Believe me, if I wanted to wreck him, I could.

Cobane out for the season
Ryan Cobane has suffered serious injuries that will keep him out of the season. Cobane lost his breaks so he would have caused a caution anyways. The 17 slid down and Ryan tried to avoid but couldn't. Looking at the in car camera, when Ryan slammed the 17 he went forward and slammed his head on the steering wheel. He was still conscious here but when the 13 hit him he hit his head again and blacked out. Doctors said that he had a Mild Concussion and broke his right leg. Ryan did tell us " I'm done racing this year. I might be done overall. That was the scariest thing that happened to me and I don't want that to happen again." Eric Webler has told us that Logan Alvarez will replace him. Logan will continue off of Ryan Cobane's points which is 31st after this race.
Nate Pieper gets his 2nd top 10 of the year
Nate Pieper led some laps today and then got involved in a caution. Nate Pieper said "We made the best out of our car today. We did an ok job, lead some laps. Thought we could come back after we lost the lead but we got involved in that one caution. 9th is pretty good. The crew kept it competitive. I'm happy. I hope Ryan is ok. I have to go see him right now. I haven't heard about him and his condition." Nate is now the highest driver for Webler Motorsports moving up to 13th in points.
Janine Vilard not happy with points
After a tough day, Janine Vilard moves down to 30th in points. She said to us " I don't get it. We try my best and all that happens for us is crap. I give 100% every week and we going backwards. I'm glad Ryan is doing good. It sucks he is out for the rest of the year. I'm gonna miss racing against my cousin."

| David Stone: "This is why we are improving the AYG car next season. So many injuries is tough to see, but we want none of that to occur anymore".
He also went on to announce that West Virginia would be back in 2012. Boycotts may be an issue, but the track is a go for 2012.

Lanigan Breaks Ankle in Scary West Virginia Crash, Will Race Anyway Derek Lanigan has broken his ankle in a multicar pile-up in Saturday's Logitech 150 at West Virginia. "Yeah it hurts, but Im tough, ill be back in the car next week." Lanigan said to reporters. Lanigan had run well up to that point, Qualigying 10th and running around there all race. Jeff Genger Okay After Crash Jeff Genger climbed from his car unscathed after being involved in the scary lap 72 wreck. "I saw them guys get together and I tried to shoot high, but the 94 filled the gap, it's really a shame, we were really fast." Genger was as high up as 2nd earlier in the race. Kyle Korbett Wrecks, Finishes 13th Kyle Korbett rolled off 30th for Saturday night's Logitech 150, but quickly made his way up the order. On lap 45 Korbett struck the spinning car of teammate Derek Lanigan, effectively ending any chances he had at a good finish. But through determination and a high retirement rate, Korbett managed a decent 13th place finish despite finishing with no hood. "The car was great until we smacked Derek...We'll come bak strong next time." Opp Inc 2012 News It was also announced this week that Korbett will be back in 2012 with the 00 and Tornado's.

| Lautenschlager Angry With Team Actions
"You know, these guys know better and decide to show immature actions. This is ridiculous. I understand why they are being like this and I'm upset too, but they have all made a mockery of this team and I will not stand for it! They'll likely be fines from AARO officials, but they'll be some coming from me too and some team members may be released!"
When asked about the new driver for the 49 team Lautenschlager said very little.
"Well, all this has just happened and with Casey being injured were just trying to make sure he can begin the healing process. We have begun talks with some drivers and the most likely candidate is with our NCSTT driver, Maddox Shaw.
Jonathan DiVierdi Released From DDR; Shaw Named New Driver and Ben Kohler new Spotter
"Boy is Maddox ever going to be busy! I asked Maddox what he thought about running AYG & NCSTT and he quickly responded in excitement. He will bring his truck series spotter, Ben Kohler with him. They work well together and I think they'll do a great job in this series."
It was obvious at this point DiVierdi, the former spotter had been released due to his actions.
"There was no point to keep him around. He really provoked the rest of the team to start that fight and I was not happy. The whole team has been fined $2,000 each by me and that money will go to the Jean Swarts Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation. Johnathan has been fined $10,000 and has been released. This guy made our team look like a joke and I can assure you it won't happen again." | |
