Caution Flags: 1 (5 laps) Lead Changes: 0 (1 driver) Weather: Cloudy, 57 °F, East 3 mph Q-Race heat 1 was uneventful. The racing was pretty damn good until lap 30 where a debris caution would cause a pit road frenzy as 10 cars piled into a wreck at the entrance of the pits. All but 9 cars had damage. Jack Jefferson, almost a cinderella story in 2010's running of the McKinley 200, dominated and held off the 79 of Matt Murphy throughout the race to take home the victory. Driver of the Race: #04 Nate Pieper for working his way through the field to qualify. And #33 Jack Jefferson who is really showing old men are good at McKinley. Early on, Tim Averell paced the field after scoring a pole qualifying time (18.505) in his #5 machine. Not to mention, he was fastest in both practices. The qualifying lap was 3 tenths of a second faster than 2nd place Jason Miller. Earl McRae was 3 seconds off pace and went 1 lap down just 9 laps in. McRae eventually fell 5 laps down before creating the first caution on lap 21 when he made contact with then second place Jason Miller sending them both into the wall and out of the race. After a bad pitstop, Tim Averell restarted 15th. Eric Webler assumed the lead and paced the field to the next yellow on lap 29 when Brandon Corna and Daniel Micks made contact in turn 1. Tim Averell made a hard charge to the front, eliminating almost a half of a second each lap he wasn't blocked by a slower car battling for position. The 5 and the 71 of Maddox Shaw both worked up into the top 3 by lap 55 and began working on passing the 05. They both got around the 5 with 3 to go leaving the two cars set to duel to the finish. The 71 would never get a good enough run to get by and Tim Averell in his first ever appearance in the AARO would go on to take the second of the two heats. Driver of the Race: #5 Tim Averell Flop: Earl McCrap

| I hope McKinley is better in 2011 with the new tires because it has been my least favorite race since 2009...its was just way too unpredictable I think. | |

| Suggestion for Q-Races:
Have everyone run duel races with NOBODY locked in, 40 cars per duel and 21 race in per duel.
This would shake up the points and the race dramatically.
(but Nick K. will ignore this.)

You can't be entitled to race a major race. McKinley 200 = Indy 500

McKinley 200 = Indy 500 Considering it was only put on the schedule three years ago, no. Livonia 250 and Sunoco 200 = Daytona 500 Canada races = Darlington McKinley = Charlotte/Bristol

(but Nick K. will ignore this.) Seeing as I already created the format, and I didn't plan on changing it, of course I will ignore it. ;D
