- Vault 81 – is a Vault-Tec Vault located underneath the Washington DC area of the Capitol Wasteland. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of DC, this vault’s construction lasted from December 2075 to October 2076. This Vault was designed to hold DC's VIPs, ala the main government of the then-United States of America. This Vault was built with 3 entrances: One in the now-Galaxy News Radio Building, one located in which is now the Citadel, and one outside of what is now Rivet City. The purpose of this vault was to see if the government could withstand the nuclear war, and soon after, leave the vault and try to rebuild the immediate Capitol Wasteland. But coincidentally, this vault was forgotten about, left completely dormant until 2277 when some Brotherhood of Steel Soldiers uncovered one of the three entrances in a collapsed hallway in GNR. They quickly received reinforcements and went scavenging in the Vault, weapons drawn. However the vault was dormant, being maintained by several Mister Handy robots and Robobrains (Similar to Vault 112). They later found a second entrance, buried in caves in the southern end of the Vault. They opened the door, only to find they were in the B-Wing of the Citadel! Astonished, they connected with their allies, and began to populate the Vault. Vault 81 is now a trading hub, with strong security forces from the Rivet City Security and the Brotherhood of Steel. The appointed Overseer is the Lone Wanderer, once they locate the Vault, via the citizens honor. More to come
